Accounting Aid Society Tax Assistance Program
Saturdays & Tuesday Afternoons, February 4, 7, 11, 14, 21, 25 and 28.
Be in line at Old Children’s Entrance well before the library opens at 10 am on Saturdays and Noon on Tuesdays.  On Tuesdays obtain number at Noon when Library opens, then return four hours later for service provided 4:00pm to 7:00pm.  This free tax preparation is available to individuals who received $25,000 or less and families that received $50,000 or less in income for the tax year.  On Saturdays approximately 40 – 50 people... and on Tuesdays approximately 25 people ... will be helped on a first come, first served basis, depending on the number of AAS volunteers.  People receive their number when the Library opens.  For tax assistance, bring driver’s license or state ID; Social Security numbers for yourself (and spouse and dependents if applicable); and income statements or forms such as W-2s, pension, Social Security, child support, unemployment, and miscellaneous Income.  To claim deductions or credits bring all supporting documents.  To have refunds deposited in your bank account, bring institution’s name, routing number, and your account number.
